EMULSION BITUMEN

Emulsion asphalt is made by grinding bitumen into microscopic particles and dispersing them in water with chemical emulsifiers. The small droplets remain uniformly suspended until use.
The chemistry of emulsion asphalt determines the system's stability. When applied, the emulsion breaks, causing the water to evaporate and leaving bitumen to coat and bind aggregates.
XOLABIT emulsion asphalt has wide applications—from tile adhesives to automotive undercoating. Its main use is for roads, including sealing and recycling systems.

Cold mix asphalt refers to asphalt mixed with unheated aggregates, mineral fillers, and bitumen emulsion. It can be used throughout the day and is ideal for repairing various road surfaces.
This mixture requires no heating, is flexible, and can self-heal even under pressure and low temperatures.

Damp-proof membranes are a blend of selected bitumen and petroleum reducers, compliant with waterproof specs. They act as primers or bonding agents to improve adhesion between substrates and coatings, preventing vapor migration through concrete or other structures.

XOLABIT BITUMEN PAINT can also act as a primer for sheet and liquid membranes. It is suitable for marine use, steel surfaces, and non-water tank interiors.
XOLABIT Membrane is a bitumen-based coating reinforced with rubber latex to enhance flexibility and strength.

XOLABIT Asphaltic Plug is designed for expansion joints with low to moderate movement capacity, ideal for use in highway bridges and other structures.
Maximum joint movement design: ±25 mm horizontally and ±1.5 mm vertically.
